Understand the route
- Choose whether your application is one of the listed annual-rent-based claims or a monetary claim. RDC determines the final classification and payable amount.
- For specified eviction, renewal, rent, termination and return-to-premises claims, the fee is 3.5% of annual rent/lease value, minimum AED 500 and maximum AED 20,000. Monetary claims use the claimed amount and a maximum of AED 15,000.
- Add AED 100 process service, AED 10 Knowledge and AED 10 Innovation. Add AED 25 if registering a power of attorney. Trustee filing adds AED 130 plus VAT on the partner charge.
- RDC states that half the basic-claim court fee is refunded when conciliation reaches a settlement. This does not mean half of every cost is refunded.
What to prepare
- Latest Ejari and identity/company documents
- IBAN evidence and supporting claim evidence
- Specified notices for eviction claims; Arabic or legally translated Arabic documents
