Understand the route

  1. RDC describes a route to ask the judge to record an offer of rent or keys without prejudicing lease rights. Check with RDC whether it fits the circumstances.
  2. The listed documents include the motion, identity/company records, last signed lease, proposed new lease on the same terms, deposited cheques and relevant correspondence.
  3. Prepare Arabic documents or legal translations into Arabic. Keep originals and correspondence showing what was offered and when.
  4. The published base total is AED 70. Trustee-centre filing adds AED 130 plus VAT on that partner fee; other document costs are separate.

What to prepare

  • Last signed tenancy agreement
  • Offer/deposit motion and relevant correspondence
  • Identity records and payment documents specified by RDC
RDC states that cheque amounts deposited for a previous rental period must be replaced with cash. Confirm current deposit mechanics and whether the application is appropriate directly with RDC.
