A free consumer index built from short factual summaries of official public sources. Checked 12 October 2026.
What the index measures
We publish official legal processes, government fee components, free-help eligibility and provider-verification steps. We do not publish average lawyer prices, case win rates or rankings. No legal-provider network is presented as onboarded or verified.
Definitions and calculations
The RDC calculator models the published amicable-settlement service only: 3.5% of the selected basis with a 500 AED floor and either a 20,000 AED annual-rent-based cap or 15,000 AED monetary cap. The tool adds 100 AED process service, 10 AED Knowledge and 10 AED Innovation. Optional power-of-attorney registration is 25 AED. Trustee filing is 130 AED plus 6.50 AED VAT on that partner charge. Authority assessment, other claims, translations and lawyer fees are outside the tool.
Source quality and unknowns
Each guide shows the responsible authority, source link and actual check date. A check date is not an effective date or a guarantee of current terms. Older source documents retain their publication date in the citation. Account-only charges and property- or case-specific requirements remain unknown until confirmed directly.
Verification is a separate step
LAD’s directory is an official registration/licensing check, not an endorsement, and does not verify specialisation. We link to the live register and do not republish its provider records. Firm-supplied expertise, language and fees must be separately attributed if profiles are introduced.
Privacy and corrections
Searches, filters and calculator inputs stay in the browser. These index tools do not submit enquiries or collect documents, and include no analytics or advertising code. Outbound links open external authority sites with their own privacy terms. The retained private pilot has separate intake and privacy information; these index tools do not use that intake. Correction email opens your mail application; do not send confidential case files or identity documents.
