Security: half the amount awarded against appellant where applicable

Understand the route

  1. RDC states a 15-day window, counted from the day after an in-presentia first-instance judgment is issued, or from notification of an in-absentia judgment.
  2. Confirm your exact deadline immediately with RDC or a qualified professional. This index does not calculate a filing date or determine whether an appeal is available.
  3. Where the judgment includes a financial claim, the page requires refundable security equal to half the amount awarded against the appellant by the First Instance Committee.
  4. The page lists AED 100 process service, AED 10 Knowledge, AED 10 Innovation, and AED 25 when registering a power of attorney. Trustee-centre filing adds AED 130 plus VAT.

What to prepare

  • First-instance judgment and notification records
  • Appeal plaint and supporting evidence in Arabic or legal Arabic translation
  • Funds for required security and assessed fees
An appeal deadline is time-sensitive and case-specific. Read the current official service conditions and seek direct confirmation; the fees shown are not the entire cost of representation or proceedings.
